Our shop is currently open for business and accepting online orders. Due to school closures and nation-wide lock downs, we are experiencing a surge in orders. This may result in reduced inventory and slower processing times. Currently, our turnaround time 1-2 days, with shipments delivered within 3-5 days. I will continue to keep customers updated about any changes/delays.
As a family business, we are practicing all government issued health and safety guidelines.. Our family is currently self-isolating, including no contact with our shipping carriers or suppliers. We use gloves and masks when making/handling/packaging our products. Our inventory is stored in a closed area and work spaces are sanitized before and after each use.

The Purple Fern is dedicated to caring for our earth and providing our customers with products that ensure a safe, enjoyable experience. We only use and sell products that are 100% natural with no harmful chemicals or toxins. Our products are also all 100% vegan (no animal products). Sustainability is very important to us, and we will always strive to source the most earth-conscious products and shipping options. Our paper products are made from 100% post consumer waste, and all of our shipping materials are recycled/ reused.
SHIPPING & LOCAL DELIVERY
Our goal is to ship orders with as little waste as possible. We encourage you to recycle or reuse/re-purpose our boxes and packing materials to minimize our contribution to landfill.
We ship anywhere in the US. Shipping rates are calculated during Checkout. Shipping rates are based on USPS First Class and Priority rates, as well as the sub total of purchased items.. All orders are shipped out within 1-2 business days via US Postal Service. Shipping and tracking information will be sent to you via email once your items have been mailed.
We offer free delivery If you reside in Portland, Oregon. Be sure to select the option 'Local Delivery' at checkout and we will be in contact via email to arrange a suitable delivery day and time. The Purple Fern is not responsible for orders that are shipped to and/or delivered to an incorrect address due to customer error during the checkout process.
The Purple Fern is committed to protecting your right to privacy and to the ethical and responsible use of your information online. Your information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested. The email address you provide for order processing will be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order. If you choose to subscribe to the mailing list, we will send you discounts, class and workshop information, free resources and sale alerts via email periodically. You are free to unsubscribe at anytime if you no longer want to receive emails from us.
The Purple Fern may also release your information if we believe it is necessary to comply with the law, enforce site policies, or protect rights, property, or safety.
Photography and artwork play a large role in how we communicate our story and mission with others. I enjoy sharing the inspiring creativity of my class and workshop participants on our website and Instagram account, as well as family-friendly marketing materials. I do not name or otherwise identify children and/or their guardians. I do not sell or otherwise disseminate publicity or information to third parties.
If you do not want photographs of you, your child or their artwork to appear on our website, social media outlets or marketing materials, you are free to Opt-out verbally and/or in writing at any time.
We hope you and your children are completely satisfied with our services and products. We make every effort to provide descriptions of classes and materials that are as detailed and informative as possible. We offer store credit on merchandise if it is found to be defective or appears to be different from the description provided on the website. Please contact The Purple Fern by phone within 7 days of receiving your item(s) so that an exchange can be issued. Shipping costs for returns/exchanges are the buyer's responsibility, unless there was an error on our part.
I do not offer refunds on registration fees for classes or workshops. However, if you have paid for a session you are no longer able to attend, please reach out to us via phone or email prior to the start date so we can re-register you (no additional cost) for an alternative date and time.
